A thank you note was received from the New Hampshire Council of Churches for the donation to the Malone Fund. This fund provides support for interfaith activities involving Christian, Jews and Muslims.

The Interfaith Council voted to change the By Laws. The change in By Laws is to elect, beginning for the year 2006, the offices of Secretary, Treasurer, and One at Large members of the Executive Committee for a one year term . (The official minutes contain the actual motion.)

There was discussion regarding what response would be made by the Interfaith Council to help in the rebuilding effort from the disaster caused by hurricane Katrina. We heard from the Salvation Army representative at the meeting, and asked about the efforts of Habitat. It was moved that the recommendation for action be referred to the Executive Committee. (Later the Executive met and decided a special collection would be made and sent later as needs of people are known.)

The next meeting of the Interfaith Council is Thursday, October 7, at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Nashua. The breakfast meeting will begin at 7:30 a.m.
